I have used a similar, but cheaper product in the past of another brand. The problem I had with that one was over time, the soup which I used to heat left a ring of stain inside the cup since it was filled to the same level each time. This would not washout and appeared to have been engrained into the plastic.Having bought the Sistema Mug, even before using this, you could tell by the feel that was of quality material. Having now used it several times for heating soup, the inside is as clean as the day it was bought - you certainly get what you pay for!!
