This product is excellent! I wish I had bought a vacuum sealer ages ago. It's so simple to use, and the replacement sealer rolls are not too expensive. However, make sure you read the user guide first in detail. I found out in use that you can re-seal the same bag more than once if you were generous with the length you cut off in the first place. For instance, a packet of sliced ham contains around 5 slices. Obviously, it wouldn't be cost effective to use a new bag after removing each slice. (I have one slice with a poached egg for breakfast.) But if the first length is long enough, you can cut off the sealed edge, remove a slice, then re-seal. Takes a bit of trial and error, but it really does ensure that the food stays fresh. I do, however, mark on the pack when I re-sealed it, because vacuum sealing doesn't mean you can keep a once-opened product for weeks! Another excellent use is to vacuum seal frozen chicken pieces. Before I got the sealer I just froze the portions individually, then bagged them up. But the vacuum sealer provides much better protection against freezer burn.
