I didn't buy this item for it's intended use - I intend to use the bags to store my cashmere sweaters to stop the moths from feasting on them. Having said that the bags will get more use than if they were for food, as I open and close them frequently. The bags are made or quality polythene and have super strong seals. I would recommend these bags for any household use - not just food.
